Fans are about to get to know more about the newly-added character, Hikaru Ooyabashi, in Kaguya-Sama Chapter 226, titled "The Teacher's War of Love and Brains." The Shuchiin Academy's new teacher may play a big role in Kaguya and Miyuki's relationship as the manga continues.
After Ooyabashi's introduction in the previous episode, fans have started pairing him to his fellow teacher Komari Machida. Will they also see more of these two together in Kaguya-Sama Chapter 226?
According to BlockToro, Ooyabashi understands the relationships his students have. He is always ready to give them some love advice, so he may turn out to be Kaguya and Miyuki's love advisor.
This gives birth to theories that Ooyabashi and Kaguya will start to clear out their differences and become good friends. Kaguya thinks he is only trying to blackmail her after learning about her romance with Miyuki.
However, it is never the case at all. Ooyabashi assures Kaguya she doesn't have to be afraid of him, as he always looks after his students and help them in any way he can.
So, this will be a start of a good relationship between the two in Kaguya-Sama Chapter 226. Elsewhere, Epic Dope noted fans saw the spark between the home teacher Ooyabashi and Machida at the end of the previous episode.
They expect this spark tp grow to a brighter romance as the manga continues forward. With the new chapter's title, it looks like it is suggesting a few romantic but witty moments between Oobayashi and Machida.
Kaguya-Sama Chapter 225 showed Oobayashi smoking in the school's smoking area. He came from a public school and transferred to the academy upon the principal's order, OtakuKart News noted.
He would be starting teaching this year, realizing he would have a lot of famous and wealthy students. He would then hear the boys' talking about an unknown topic, so he would try to open the door a little to listen to their conversation.
He saw Miyuki with Mikaido and other students, asking the initial about a particular question. Miyuki said he would not give them any answers, to which Mikaido responded with something about sleeping with a woman.
Ooyabashi may know more about Kaguya and Miyuki's relationship in Kaguya-Sama Chapter 226, which will drop on Thursday, May 13. The manga is on a two-week hiatus due to the Golden Week holidays in Japan and Aka Akasaka's personal break.
