Grey's Anatomy season 17 finale is coming next month on ABC, with the title "Someone Saved My Life Tonight." There is a significant event coming for most of the characters, particularly with Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Winston (Anthony Hill).

Grey's Anatomy season 17 finale is going to be a memorable one for both Maggie and Winston as the installment marks their wedding day. The engagement of the two isn't a secret to everyone, but the news about their nuptial comes as a surprise to many.

The series saw a lot of couples tying the knot, yet most of them encountered troubles in their marriage -- such as Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington), and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd). Thus, there is a bit of concern for the future of Maggie and Winston.

Their long-distance relationship faced several challenges due to the onset of the pandemic, and they often communicate through video calls. But then, Winston suddenly showed up at Maggie's door and asked the ultimate question on her.

Meanwhile, Grey's Anatomy season 17 finale will also deliver a story for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). Through most of the current installment, she's been unconscious and spent her time in the dream beach sequence. She's in a bad shape after being tested positive for COVID-19 during the premiere.

Now that Meredith is getting better, she is seemingly making a huge step in her career. As the synopsis notes, she "takes on a new role at the hospital." Perhaps, the time she spent on the beach changed her outlook in life, especially after meeting her departed loved ones.

Some also speculated that her "new role" isn't a major shift in her career. Since Meredith hasn't been well for quite a long time, the physical effects of COVID-19 may linger on her. Hence, she will likely step back from her surgical role in order for her to recover.

Elsewhere in Grey's Anatomy season 17 finale, Jo decides on something that could alter whatever she has at the moment. Based on the synopsis, she "makes a life-changing decision." The character has been through a lot and it seems like she is making a step in finding her own happiness.

Some theories suggest that the "life-changing decision" is all about her planning to adopt Luna. Although she and Hayes (Richard Flood) will meet the newborn's legal guardian in the penultimate, Jo likely wants to take care of the child, especially since she formed a connection to her.

Grey's Anatomy season 17 finale is airing on Thursday, June 3, on ABC.
