A relative of Kate Middleton hasn't been holding back on his criticisms towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Gary Goldsmith, the Duchess of Cambridge's uncle, said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are behaving like "muppets."

During an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Smith, who is the younger brother of Carole Middleton, said that people are "massively disappointed" about Harry and Markle's behavior after criticizing the royal family in their television interviews.

Smith also called out Markle for telling the world that Kate Middleton made Markle cry during her wedding preparations as he knows his niece to be a "peacemaker." He also posted the same scathing comments on his social media accounts and admitted that while he was "embarrassed" for lashing out online, he still stands by his comments against his niece's in-laws.

Middleton's uncle further said that the British public has always loved Harry, as much as he did, in the duke's younger years. However, he doesn't think it's right for the Duke of Sussex to go on a TV show to unleash his criticisms against his own family. Smith said that he doesn't believe any word that Harry and Markle have revealed to the press about their challenging royal life.

It's unclear how close Goldsmith is to his niece but he was a guest at her royal wedding to William in 2011. He also met William when he was still dating Middleton and said that his first impression of the couple was that they look "very, very good together."

William and Middleton also spent a holiday in Goldsmith's vacation home in Ibiza in 2006. His staff organized an itinerary for the young couple at the request of his sister. The Middleton uncle is a self-made millionaire and runs a successful recruitment consultancy. He also enjoys a lavish lifestyle because of his hard-earned wealth.

Goldsmith was a guest at the wedding of Pippa Middleton, the duchess' younger sister, in 2017. He described that her nieces are quite different because the duchess works hard for everything she has earned and becomes brilliant at it, while her younger sister appears to always have it easy in life.

Meanwhile, William recently said during a royal engagement in Scotland that he loves his in-laws. It's known that the Duke of Cambridge enjoys being part of the Middleton family and has always enjoyed the company of the parents of Kate Middleton early on in their relationship.
