The Good Doctor season 4 episode 19 is going to be the first of the two-part season finale and it comes with the title "Venga." Most of the doctors at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital are going on a trip, including Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore).

In The Good Doctor season 4 episode 19, Shaun and others travel to Guatemala for a very specific mission. Their major goal here is to help the people in need, but this won't be easy for them since they have very limited resources. They also need to work extra-long hours in order to complete their task.

According to the synopsis of The Good Doctor season 4 episode 19, the team headed to "Guatemala on a surgical mission to help patients at a rural hospital." As soon as they arrived there, they encounter a small community that desperately needs their help.

However, the team was assigned the daunting task of identifying who they can help the most. This is going to be a challenging mission for the doctors, given that they want to help everyone in need. Shaun is going to deal with this issue, while still facing the recent events that happened in his life.

The Good Doctor season 4 episode 19 sees Shaun being away from his girlfriend, Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara). The two are currently facing a crisis in their relationship after the latter suffered a miscarriage. They lost their baby and it hugely impacted their lives.

In the first half of the season finale, Lea will be, particularly, struggling with the loss of their baby. In the past few episodes, her pregnancy has met with several complications. Initially, the couple believes that their child will be saved, especially Shaun.

When he found out that Lea's pregnancy is at risk, he did everything he can to ensure the safety of his girlfriend and the child. But then, he wasn't able to prevent unforeseen events leading to the miscarriage. Their relationship will be further tested because of what happened.

Shaun and Lea have been through a lot of struggles throughout the current installment. The two felt happy when they found out about the pregnancy, yet it was only short-lived. Now, it would be interesting to see how they're going to cope and lean on each other at times like this.

Since Shaun is in Guatemala, Lea may have a hard time dealing with it alone. This may probably continue in the second part of the season finale. The medical drama will also leave a cliffhanger leading to more stories in the already-renewed season 5.

The Good Doctor season 4 episode 19 airs on Monday, May 31, on ABC.
