Prince William is growing so concerned that his brother, Prince Harry, will continue to throw accusations at the royal family to further damage the institution. The Duke of Cambridge is also said to be disappointed at the Duke of Sussex.
Sources disclosed via Daily Mail that Prince William is anxious there will be more "truth bombs" from his brother, as Harry continues with his "confessional tour" in line with the promotion of his mental health documentary series, The Me You Can't See.
Insiders are expecting more allegations from Harry who has already said that he suffered as a child because of his father's parenting. The Duke of Sussex also alluded that Charles didn't support his son especially when Harry was struggling with coming to terms with his mother's death and turned to drugs and alcohol.
However, William is trying to rise above his brother's tirade on television. According to a royal source, the Duke of Cambridge has been enlightened with a renewed sense of purpose and is modeling himself after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, who puts duty above all else.
William has clearly seen the difference between a celebrity and a royal undertaking public service. The source said that in times of crisis, the royal family could provide the public with real reassurances, unlike celebrities.
Though Harry said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that William is likely feeling trapped in his role with the royal family, a royal expert said it's not the case. Royal biographer Penny Junor believes that William is actually enjoying his birthright as the future king with honor and service because he understands his destiny and has been embracing his future.
Royal observers said that while William might have been reluctant in his role more than five years ago, he's now grown into a "major stateman." Like Harry, William also struggled with his mother's death and was angry at one point but now he's fully embracing his royal life after seeing for himself the power of the monarchy to help and uplift the public.
In fact, William just finished a successful royal tour of Scotland with Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. According to reports, the stakes have been high for this visit amid plans that the Scots would like to vote for their independence and leave the Union. The sentiment of the public could change after Prince William and Middleton launched their charm offensive and appealed to the masses.
