Prince William and Prince Harry allegedly started to fight again during the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip, in April. Just when everyone thought they had mended their rift, their spat seemed to continue.
In a new article by Robert Lacey for Daily Mail, the "Battle of Brothers" author and Netflix's "The Crown" consultant revealed the continuation of the royal siblings' strained relationship. Many hoped the funeral would end the war between the two, but the opposite happened.
Sure, the princes had a public chat outside St. George's Chapel during the event, but an argument allegedly broke down within minutes after they got inside the castle. The ordeal was said to be not seen on camera.
"They started quarreling again," Lacey claimed. A friend told the author William and Harry were at "each others throat as fiercely as ever" again.
The source continued the rage and anger between the brothers have grown incredibly deep that there are a lot of harsh words have been said.
In addition, despite the rumors of a family talk after the funeral service, Lacey revealed no discussion like that happened. There was no reconciliation, brotherly sit-down or a minisummit occurred.
By the looks of it, the conflict between the two dukes continues and may not end anytime soon.
Before Lacey's revelation emerged, a source close to the royal family told People earlier this week that "everyone was optimistic" of Harry and William's reconciliation, but nothing happened.
The tension between Princess Diana and Prince Charles' sons is at record-height after Harry and Meghan Markle's series of explosive interviews with the U.S. media. The two have been talking against the royal family - making his relationship with his older brother worse.
According to several reports, the misunderstanding began when William showed his concern over the speed of his little brother's romance with Markle before their 2018 royal wedding.
Lacey then claimed everything got worse in October of the same year when the future king learned of the staffers' bullying allegations against the Duchess of Sussex. The latter's side vehemently denied the issue.
Anyhow, William and Harry are set to reunite once again to unveil the statue of their later mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace Gardens July 1. However, the brothers' mutual friend told Vanity Fair that though there are talks about the plans for the event and after Lili was born, things are still very strained.
