Jamie Lynn Spears has broken her silence over the conservatorship of her sister Britney. The younger Spears shows her full support to her sibling, so the Pop Princess's fans can now change their views.
Jamie Lynn explained she waited for the right time to talk about Britney's recent court hearing. She said it was not suitable for her to discuss the issue until the pop singer herself publicly addressed and told everything she wanted.
According to TMZ, despite the adverse claims against her, the "Zoey 101" star declares her love, adores and supports her sister. She, too, does not want anything but Britney's happiness.
While saying these things, Jamie Lynn distances herself from the rest of her family, especially those involved in the conservatorship, like her father, Jamie Spears.
"I've made a very conscious choice in my life to only participate in her life as her sister," she explains.
She also swears to have always had Britney's back. Talking about the singer's threat to sue her whole family, Jamie Lynn declares she is not her family and she is her own person.
She is speaking for herself and she is proud of how Britney is using her own voice. Britney has been mum about the issue for the longest time.
Jamie Lynn also revealed she encouraged Britney to hire new counsel years ago. If Britney now wants to end her conservatorship, she will fully support it.
Britney has already requested for her conservatorship to end as she spoke to a Los Angeles judge June 23, E! News noted. In a statement, the Grammy-award winner revealed she had been subjected to a number of psych evaluations and medications under the court-approved agreement.
She also alleged her father had traumatized her through this control. Jamie has been the co-conservator of Britney's estate since 2008.
On the other hand, the patriarch's attorney issued a statement on behalf of his client - saying Jamie feels sorry to see his daughter "suffering and in so much pain." He even asserts Britney's dad loves her so much and misses her.
After the hearing, a judge commended Britney for her courage to speak out. However, the justice suggested Britney had to submit a petition to the court requesting her conservatorship's termination before any steps could be taken. No new dates had been set for another hearing so far.
