Pumpkin spice drinks, Starbuck's popular fall-themed product, is now back on the menu. Starbucks announced that its line of pumpkin spice drinks and a new line of snacks will be available starting today, Aug. 24.

The company said in a press release that customers in the U.S. and Canada can now visit their nearest Starbucks shop and order its popular Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.

To go with their drinks, Starbucks has also released limited-edition snack items. This includes the company's new Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Pumpkin Scone. The two snacks will be offered with Starbuck's Pumpkin Loaf, which is now a year-round menu item at the company's outlets.

Compared to previous years, the return of the beloved drinks comes a few days earlier than expected. After 2018, the trendy drinks typically are returned to the menu at the end of August. Before 2018, pumpkin spice products were added to the menu nationwide in September.

Analysts said Starbuck's decision to release the popular drinks earlier might be part of its strategy to help boost seasonal sales and foot traffic. Like other food and beverage retailers, Starbucks had struggled during the onset of the pandemic. Fortunately, the company could mitigate some of its losses thanks to the increase in takeout and deliveries of its products.

Starbucks first introduced its Pumpkin Spice Latte to the world in 2003. The product's release was a follow-up to the success of the company's winter seasonal drinks, such as the Peppermint Mocha and Eggnog Latte.

The drink, which comprises pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, has since become a signature drink for the company. It also recently expanded into similarly-themed cold beverages, baked goods, and even several grocery items such as pumpkin candles, air fresheners, cereals, and pasta sauce.

According to the company, its Pumpkin Spice Latte has become its most popular seasonal beverage. Since its introduction up to 2015, the company has sold more than 200 million Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
