Lee Sung Kyung has found herself in the middle of a heated argument on "SeriMoney Club." Her point about using a golf term even results in a debate online.

It all started when the JTBC golf variety program's cast and guests talked about the frequently used terms in playing golf. As Kim Jong Kook used the phrase "putting their head on for the first time," Lee Sung Kyung shut her down.

She said the moment she learned of its meaning; she stopped using the phrase. She, then, explained that in the old Korean days, "put one's head on" described "gisaengs" in training as they made their way to become professionals.

According to AllKpop, Gisaengs is a traditional Korean name for professional courtesans in the Joseon era. However, there are several other meanings to this phrase.

The most known is when the women wrap their braids around their heads to show their married status. Anyhow, Kim Jong Kook cleared he thought "put their head on" in golf meant players would put their golf ball on the tee for the first time they played.

Lee Sung Kyung agreed with the actor and said she even heard the phrased used similarly before. Though the "Running Man" host said people should use safer terms the next time, the "Dr. Romantic 2" star's remarks already became a hot topic online.

Some question her intention to shut down Kim Jong Kook, saying the phrase had a different meaning when used in golf. So, she did not have to bring her claims up and be offended.

Many believed she was just trying to make herself look smart and ruined the show's atmosphere. They thought it was also rude to correct someone in front of the camera, like what she did.

Alternatively, others said phrases with negative roots should never be used. Kim Joong Kook also seemed not to mind Lee Sung Kyung's corrections and even agreed with her.

Meanwhile, in her recent interview, the "Cheese in the Trap" star reminisced the time when she was still living in a small house, per Times of India. Despite the success she is experiencing today, she revealed everything does not come easy.

Amid the rumors that she was born with a golden spoon in her mouth, she revealed her family went bankrupt when she was only four years old. At the time, her father lost his factory after a fire accident.

They, then, started living in a 249-square-foot apartment and a classmate even asked her how she could live in that house. She even felt embarrassed when her dad would drop her at school using a deteriorating car.

Despite that, though, Lee Sung Kyung would never wish to have another life with all the memories she had with her family. She even said she was beyond grateful for the experience.
