"Sword Art Online Progressive" has officially dropped the official trailer for "Sword Art Online the Move - Progressive - Aria of a Starless Night." After the first movie in the series' release, another one comes to build up the hype.

Fans are still waiting for a new major arc from the light novel to complete its anime adaptation, but its movie version has no plans to slow down. The first movie from the creator Reki Kawahara's official companion series "Sword Art Online Progressive," is now exploring the Ainrcrad arc and a new one is about to come with "Sword Art Online the Movie - Progressive - Aria of a Starless Night."

Comicbook noted the new movie would be adapting the Scherzo of Dark Dusk arc. So, to excite fans more, the franchise recently released a new trailer that gives the best look at the movie yet.

The clip mostly focuses on Asuna's perspective as the film features the early events of the original series. By the looks of it, this new trailer has a lot of spoilers that give away what will happen in the movie.

In addition, the film also shares a new key visual that gives fans a good look at the fan-favorite characters, like Kirito and Asuna. Twitter Outlet Anime TV Japan gives fans a glimpse of this image that quickly takes them to the events where everything began.

The "Sword Art Online the Movie - Progressive - Aria of a Starless Night" will follow the story before the Lightning Flash and the Black Swordsman were known by these names. It will also be the day that Asuna donned the NerveGear.

Asuna is a third-year middle school student who has not played any online games before. However, she will join the world's first VRMMORPG, called "Sword Art Online," officially launching on Nov. 6, 2022, without knowing the players will find themselves trapped inside the game.

The Game Master will not let them log out of the game after being euphoric about logging in. "This may be a game, but it is not something you play," the Game Master warns.

If a player dies while in-game, they, too, will die in the real world. This results in panic among the players, resulting in mayhem.

So, Asuna will try her best to conquer the floating iron castle of Aincrad, despite not being familiar with any online games. She will fight with all her might until someone appears-the swordsman Kirito.

"Sword Art Online the Movie - Progressive - Aria of a Starless Night" is set to be out on Dec. 3 in the U.S. and Canada and Dec. 9 in Australia and New Zealand. It will also be soon out in the U.K., Ireland and Latin America.
