Before "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" hits the theaters soon, MAPPA holds a special event that introduces the voice behind the lead character, Yuta. The studio gives everyone a glimpse of Yuta that makes fans more excited.
In about a month, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is about to be out and MAPPA teases everyone with cardboard cutouts of the film's characters. The panel dedicated to everything about the franchise and a clip shared on Twitter gave a peek at Yuta's voice.
Comicbook noted the anime royalty Megumi Ogata would lend her voice to Yuta. The actress' voice is familiar in the anime world after playing the roles of Shinji in "Neon Genesis Evangelion," Kurama in "Yu Yu Hakusho" and Yugi in "Yu-Gi-Oh."
In the video, Ogata uses a low voice for Yuta and it perfectly suits the character. From here, fans are about to see more of her incredible performance in "Jujutsu Kaisen 0."
Meanwhile, the movie's latest trailer introduces some of its main characters fans are about to meet. It also makes fans hear its new theme song for the first time, per Polygon.
The film will follow the events before the original manga occurs. Yuta will take center stage, along with his childhood best friend, Rika, who gets killed in a car accident.
Her cursed spirit starts to haunt him wherever he goes. But when he arrives at the Jujutsu Academy, Gojo teaches him about the cursed spirits and what he can do about them.
The video teaser, then, gives a good look at the film's antagonist, Suguru Geto. At the end of the clip, it plays the theme song, "Itto," by King Gnu. The piece excellently jives with the trailer's intense turn of events, like all the cursed actions.
With the hype surrounding "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," everyone is now looking forward to its release. Fortunately, it will finally drop on Dec. 24-the same day a novel adaptation by Baraddo Kitaguni, based on the film's script, will be out in Japan, Anime News Network cited.
Sadly, there are no words yet if it will be out in international theaters, but it is widely believed that it will follow the pattern of other anime releases.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is expected to be out in the rest of the world sometime in 2022. From here, fans will find out who the English voice actor will play the role of the fan-favorite Yuta.
