The first night of BTS's two-day concert in Los Angeles, titled "Permission to Dance: On Stage," ended with controversy. Many noticed how the group seemed to give the nod to an old issue with BIGBANG and Gaon Music Awards with the group's stage concept during a particular performance.

Many see a lot of similarities between BTS and BIGBANG, while others claim Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are big fans of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang and Daesung. However, it is no surprise that these two groups have often been pitted against each other.

Many believed it brought back a huge 2017 controversy to light during their recent performance after the "Butter" hitmaker was accused of imitating T.O.P's stage screen design and ideas for the said year's Gaon Music Awards.

Big Hit denied the accusation, but the Gaon staff members later admitted to copying the "FANTASTIC BABY" stage used by BTS, AllKpop noted. They later apologized for the issue.

Sure, BIGBANG seemed not to mind the issue, as its members remained mum about it. But not BTS.

They discussed the problem before and after six years; they used the same stage concept when performing "Dope" during their recent L.A. concert. The song's lyrics also seemed to attack other idols, who enjoyed life while praising themselves for working non-stop.

So, many believed it was BTS's way to shade Gaon and everyone who accused them of copying the BIGBANG's stage concept back then. ARMY even started to bring the past controversy up again, and some even attacked G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang and Daesung.

Meanwhile, BTS currently takes the reign as the most famous K-pop group in the world. It has conquered the radio stations, award ceremonies, international music rankings, fashion, and more inside and outside the music scene, per KBI Zoom.

With that said, many compared them to the senior K-pop group, BIGBANG. In fact, they are even called "BIGBANG inheritors."

It just shows BTS's strength when it comes to making and performing music. Their songs have the perfect and strong rhythm, coupled with rap parts.

It is also full of their personalities. These two boy groups just show very different characters compared to other idols.

They have a clear distinction between the rapper and vocal lines. Nobody from these groups has to "take responsibility for the group on his own." In fact, both BIGBANG and BTS members do not have to depend on others as they are already good enough on their own.
