The public last saw Jennifer Lawrence on screen in 2019. Following the release of "Dark Phoenix," wherein she played the role of Raven/Mystique, she seemingly went silent and out of circulation.

She made the headlines, though, from time to time. But, in her recent interview, the actress admitted that she had to disappear and explained why, according to Star.

In the December/January issue of Vanity Fair, Lawrence opened up a lot of things about herself. These include the "darker periods" of her life, as well as the "radical decision" of disappearing before the public.

She stated that everybody had gotten sick of her, adding that she had gotten sick of herself, as well.

She, then, explained that she felt as if she had reached a point in her life "where people were not pleased" just by her existence. Accordingly, it made her kind of fall out of the thinking that "work or career can bring any kind of peace to your soul."

But, in her "exile," she reportedly found peace. It appears that things are now going well for Jennifer Lawrence.

She and gallerist Cooke Maroney tied the knot in 2019. Reports said that her married life is "blissfully normal," especially after her meteoric rise to stardom.

In the same engagement, the "Hunger Games" actress revealed that enjoys going to the grocery store with her husband. She explained that it is "almost a metaphor for marriage," and it fills her with joy.

A month prior to their second wedding anniversary, People learned that the couple is pregnant. It remains unclear, however, the gender, as well as when they are expecting the arrival of their first baby.

Amid her pregnancy, Jennifer Lawrence is gearing up for the premiere of her upcoming film, "Don't Look Up." She plays one of the lead roles, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Netflix Original, which will drop on big screens on December 10, features a star-studded cast. It includes Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and Tyler Perry.

A separate report from People recently revealed the things the cast members had to say about each other. On Jennifer Lawrence's part, the actress received compliments and praises from her co-stars, DiCaprio and Streep.

"Don't Look Up" marks the first project Lawrence worked on with both renowned celebrities. The "Titanic" star deemed her "one of the most talented actors" today, while the award-winning actress described her as "bold" and "unselfconscious," adding that her gift is alive in her being.
