Along with the news of BIGBANG's comeback is the surprise that T.O.P has left YG Entertainment. Though he will still be part of the group's return, the former underground rapper seems to have already hinted at his plan to leave two years ago.

YG revealed that T.O.P wanted to "expand his personal activities" aside from doing promotions with his fellow BIGBANG members. As the announcement shocks everyone, some may have already seen it coming.

In February 2020, the 34-year-old star held a live broadcast on Instagram to update fans of his then-current activities, unearthed by Koreaboo. His look seemed far different from before, donning a much longer hairstyle.

Though his appearance might have changed, he said he always had "wanted to show this side" of him. He even added that people didn't know how he was living, so he wanted everyone to see it.

From here, T.O.P revealed he didn't want to make a "comeback in Korea." "I don't want to make a comeback at all," he added.

He even warned that if he did what he wanted, more articles would be made about him and "they" didn't let him say anything. The actor continued even his friends kicked him not to say anything.

He, then, revealed his plans to make his own music and called people awful. "Let's love. Peace," he concluded.

For starters, T.O.P faced a huge backlash after admitting to smoking marijuana in October 2016. Since then, the public has turned its back on the BIGBANG member.

He had been a target of continuous malicious comments since the controversy broke and the people behind these might be the ones he called "awful" during his Instagram Live.

Meanwhile, YG officially announced the return of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang and Daesung back in the spotlight, per Pink Villa. Seungri formally retired from the entertainment business in 2019.

The "Fantastic Baby" hitmaker is also set to release new music with their return. The agency revealed they have already finished recording a new song and are about shoot a music video.

This will be the first time fans are about to hear something new from the quartet after four years. The group last released "Flower Road" in March 2018, with lyrics saying it wouldn't be last for them.

"Please, let us meet again when the flowers bloom," they sang. By the looks of it, the flowers may have bloomed and BIGBANG is about to conquer the music scene again with their spring comeback.
