Stray Kids is once again making noise after the success of their latest album, "NOEASY." Amid this new victory, Bang Chan gets lauded for being so true when it comes to K-Pop idols' pre-recorded vocals in live performances.
Bang Chan admitted K-Pop idols use pre-recorded vocals when they are performing live. In fact, the Stray Kids member himself revealed he is doing it and the reason behind this practice.
Many have been questioning the performers when they lip-sync on stage, whether K-Pop stars or international artists. But for the 24-year-old Australian-South Korean star, this is necessary.
On one of his live streams, the rapper revealed, via Koreaboo, idols wake up extremely early to fulfill all their duties. They have to do interviews before they go on stage, but their activities will not just end there.
Most idols often sleep late and wake up early the next day to repeat the same cycle. So, this non-stop cycle of activities is taking its toll on their voices.
Bang Chan claimed it is the very reason why pre-recording is important. The condition of idols' voices is not always fit to sing live on stage after a hectic schedule.
He also asks fans for respect despite singing pre-recorded songs, as the fact that they debuted already proved they could sing well. He also stressed using pre-recorded vocals has nothing to do with the idols' talent.
It only means that they are under a lot of pressure. Even he does not always have the perfect voice and ends up doing a disappointing recording.
So, using pre-recorded vocals helps ease a lot of strains on idols' voices caused by their rigorous schedules. Meanwhile, Stray Kids' second studio album, "NOEASY," is now experiencing a massive milestone after successfully crossing 300 million cumulative streams on Spotify, per Pinkvilla.
The LP just made it in 169 days after its release in August 2021. It is also the fastest album under JYP Entertainment to make it, while their repackage album, "In Life," comes second to reach this milestone after 200 days.
According to Stray Kids, "NOEASY" is a combination of the words "noisy" and "no easy," which means they will always work hard no matter what problem arises. They will live with their desire to make a loud impact on the world with their music.
True enough, "NOEASY" reached the number one spot on the Gaon Album Chart and was a certified million-seller by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). So, it is now JYP Entertainment and Stray Kids' first million-selling album.
