It has been nearly four years since fans last saw Goku on the small screen in "Dragon Ball Super" Season 1. So with much speculation, will there be "Dragon Ball Super" Season 2?

A lot of rumors have been said about "Dragon Ball Super" Season 2. However, there is no solid confirmation yet that a new season is about to come. If it will, what will it be about and when it is about to come?

Recent Highlights noted there are claims a new season is already in production and an English sub trailer is about to come out soon. However, fans should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet.

The first season featured 131 episodes and its premiere was an instant big hit. Alternatively, its finale, titled "A Miraculous Conclusion! Farewell, Goku! Until W Meet Again!" had put fans hanging, waiting for the series to return.

So, will it still happen? No one knows if it will, except for the people behind the anime.

Fans expect "Dragon Ball Super" Season 2 to be about Broly, though it was later confirmed that it would not happen. On the other hand, the manga has been continuously running and though it has strayed away from the anime's plot, there are theories it will feature the Moro arc.

Looper added the first season ended with the Universal Survival arc. So, everyone who has followed the manga knows that the next storyline will be the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc.

This part of the story will introduce the goat-headed villain, Moro. The current manga story follows the Granolah the Survivor arc, featuring the lone survivor of a race that the Saiyan army has wiped out.

If the anime adapts either of these two manga arcs, the new season will surely feature a number of intense fights on the small screen. It is also possible that Toei Animation will create an entirely new arc for the second season.

But fans should be reminded that they should keep their hopes low for a possible new season until the studio drops an official announcement. Viewers who have missed the fun adventure of "Dragon Ball Super" can re-watch the whole first season on the streaming services of Funimation and Crunchyroll.

If the new season is indeed in the works, there are assumptions "Dragon Ball Super" Season 2 may finally drop in April 2023 after the new "Dragon Ball Super" movie hits the big screen.
