Stray Kids are back and they are ready to kick off their much-awaited second world tour, called "MANIAC," this year. On Monday, March 7, the octuplet formally announced their return on stage and their upcoming schedules.
AllKpop noted the tour would begin in Seoul and move onto Japan, the U.S. and return to Tokyo for an encore show. The event would begin with a two-night concert in Seoul from April 30 to May 1, followed by a performance in Kobe from June 11 to 12.
Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. will move to Tokyo for another two-day concert from June 18 to June 19. From there, they will travel to the U.S. to perform a series of concerts, per Soompi.
It will start in Neward on June 29, Chicago on July 1, Atlanta on July 3, Fort Worth on July 6, Los Angeles on July 9, Oakland on July 12 and Seattle on July 14. They will, then, travel back to Japan for another two nights of concerts in Tokyo on July 26 and 27.
In addition, Stray Kids also have good news for fans outside Japan and the U.S.They revealed they would be adding more dates and cities for the "MANIAC" world tour.
Aside from a world tour, the boys will also be dropping a new track, "Spiderweb," from their upcoming album, "ODDINARY." in the song preview, the eight broke out of their usual selves to face each other in a deadly battle.
Their comeback song, "Maniac," would drop on Friday, March 18, at 1 p.m. KST. The album's pre-order already began on February 14.
In the series of teasers the hitmakers had dropped, they could be seen in all black, while their shadows cast monstrous silhouettes behind them. Alternatively, the trailer featured an epic storyline as Felix entered a strange place called Ordinary.
He started to encounter other Stray Kids members who looked mysterious and menacing. Their faces also appeared on multiple missing posters through the preview.
At the end of the clip, the "Ordinary" sign flickered to "Oddinary" as the clip asked, "Do you want to be 'ODDINARY?'" This will be the boys' first comeback after releasing their special holiday album, "Christmas EveL," in November 2021 and their compilation album, "SKZ2021," in December 2021.
Stray Kids recently signed with Republic Records, along with their JYP Entertainment labelmates ITZY. They just held a fan meeting, called "SKZ's Chocolate Factory," on February 12 to 13.
