Fans are now looking forward to seeing the new "Dragon Ball" movie, "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" and the new story it is about to offer. However, with the many questions surrounding the film, viewers want to know when it takes place.

Ever since the coming of "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" was announced, the avid fans have wanted to know if it will follow the timeline of the previous film released, "Dragon Ball Super: Broly." With that said, does it happen before or after the aformentioned film?

In the movie, Goten and Trunk are still teenagers, so Comicbook noted it takes place after the Tournament of Power. At the time, the two were still kids looking after the animals under Android 17's protection.

However, a new promo reveals what arcs the return of the Red Ribbon Army occurs. So by the looks of it, the film will feature the "ramification" of the series.

The anime already ended after the Tournament of Power Arc, though the manga continued. It recently featured the Moro Arc and currently featuring the Granolah the Survivor Arc.

Goten and Trunks were not seen facing Moro, as they were still kids protecting 17's island and helping the Z-Fighters fight the planet-eater. They are yet to appear in the Granolah the Survivor arc, so are they still teenagers in the current storyline the manga is featuring?

Twitter user DBS Chronicles revealed "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" takes place after the events of the Moro Arc, so it has adapted the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. So, does this mean the film's event happens before or after the Granolah Arc?

If it features the events after the said saga, it may give a glimpse of Vegeta's newest transformation, Ultra Ego. It will be the first time fans are about to see his new form in animation if it happens.

Meanwhile, the release of the upcoming "Super Hero" movie has been moved after Toei Animation was hacked in March, per GameRant. The event greatly affected the studio's internal systems, resulting in the delay of a number of anime projects for several weeks.

Sadly, "Super Hero" was the most hit after its release date had been pushed indefinitely. It was supposed to be out on April 22.

Now, Toei Animation officially announced that "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" would be out on June 11 in Japan, while its international release date would soon be revealed.
