Dungeons and Dragons have been a major part of "Stranger Things." So, if fans base "Stranger Things" Season 5 on the game, a far worse villain will come.

Tiktok user Ivan Mars made a theory that if Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and the rest of the gang will use the game to predict each villain they meet, it hints that the worst one is yet to come. With that said, a big bad much more powerful than Vecna (Jamie Campbell) is about to terrorize Hawkins in "Stranger Things" Season 5.

The first season's villain was the Demogorgon, followed by the Mind Flayer and the Shadow Monsters in the second and third seasons, respectively. The recent "Stranger Things" Season 4 introduced Vecna, aka Henry or 001.

Vecna possessed incredible power after Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) trapped him in the Upside Down. His power is similar to his abilities in D&D, a wizard who turned himself into an undead creature to gain immortality.

But despite the chaos, destruction and death he brought in "Stranger Things" Season 4, he's not the most powerful villain in D&D. Mars revealed, via Games Radar, that the most powerful villain in D&D is Red Dragon, aka Borys," and he may be introduced in "Stranger Things" Season 5.

The D&D Dark Sun Wiki explained that Borys has scales that glow red with the heat of magma and clouds under his wings like a firestorm. In the fourth season finale, fans saw dark clouds hovering over Hawkins with red lightning and fires.

Nancy (Natalia Dyer) even revealed that when Vecna showed him his evil plan, she saw a "dark cloud spreading over Hawkins, downtown on fire, dead soldiers and a giant creature with a gaping mouth." So, could this be Borys?

As early as now, fans are already looking forward to seeing "Stranger Things" Season 5, but it may take a while before it hits the small screens. The second season dropped after a year of the first season's release.

Season 3 was out after two years following Season 2's ending. Fans waited another two years before seeing the events of "Stranger Things" Season 4.

However, the Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, told Variety that the wait for the fifth and final season wouldn't be that long, but CNet noted that they've yet to start filming. So, it may still take a year and a half before fans see the continuation of the group's fight against the evil from the Upside Down in "Stranger Things" Season 5, assuming it will be out in 2024.
