Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg are being pitted against each other.

An unnamed source told Globe that Behar wants to be the number one host on The View. And the only way for her to make this happen is if Goldberg would leave the program for good.

"Joy's been quietly campaigning for Whoopi's removal. She's said for months now Whoopi's a liability and it's in everyone's interest if she gets greased so the ratings can improve and they can bring in new talent," the source said.

The source also claimed that Behar has no plans to quit The View. And she plans to stay as a host on the show for as long as she's able.

However, insiders are convinced that it wouldn't be long before she quits the program because she's already 79 years old and not as healthy as she once was.

"Joy's turning 80 this October and may not be as mobile as she once was, but there's a motivation to stick around and keep going for the sake of her fans. She says she still has plenty of fight left in her and she'll be damned if Whoopi's cranky, self-obsessed stupidity is going to see her walk away from the best gig she's ever had," the source said.

As of late, there's no proof that Behar and Goldberg are feuding. And it's not also true that the former is plotting the latter's exit.

The only accurate line that the publication mentioned has to do with Behar's age and the fact that she's still one of the hosts on The View.

Meanwhile, Goldberg made headlines recently amid rumors that she's been demanding the producers of The View give her a $23 million payout.

According to Globe, Goldberg has already been contemplating leaving the show. However, she already signed a multi-year deal to appear on The View until a few more years.

So, she came up with the idea of asking the producers of The View to give her entire paycheck and she would gladly leave the program.

However, one should take the tabloid's claims with a grain of salt. It's not true that Goldberg wants to stop hosting The View for good. She recently went on a break following the backlash that she received about her comments on Holocaust, but this isn't temporary.
