Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly not part of Queen Elizabeth II's Balmoral summer guest list. With that said, the Sussexes will not return to the U.K. to be with the monarch.

The Sun first reported that Queen Elizabeth invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to join her during her annual summer break in Balmoral. However, it looks like there's no invite at all.

The publication claimed that the staff of the Scottish estate had been told to expect a full list of royals, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. However, sources confirmed to Page Six that they would not visit Her Majesty at the highland.

The couple will reportedly stay in the U.S. before Prince Harry's much-anticipated memoir drops in November or December. With this new development, royal commentator Phil Dampier said it's a "snub" on the Sussexes' part.

"I don't think it's any more or less of a snub than their general attitude in the round to be honest," he explained, per Express. Though Page Six already denied the claim that Queen Elizabeth invited them, Dampier seemed to be sure that she asked them to join her.

However, he added that it wasn't surprising they weren't going. He continued that if the controversial royals were eager to make it up with their respective families, they should have dropped Prince Harry's book deal. They have also stopped doing a "fly-on-the-wall" documentary, visited Meghan Markle's dad in Mexico and returned to the U.K.

Dampier added that there were several things they could do to mend their relationships but chose not to do so, which just showed they had "made their bed and wanted to lie in it." He believed they would continue to make more money and whatever they saw was right for them, which seemed wrong for both of their families.

He also said Meghan Markle might not enjoy a stay at Balmoral, as the activities were mostly about "hunting, shooting and fishing." The former actress is said to be against these things and has made her husband hate it, too.

However, despite Dampier's belief that Meghan Markle would never return to the U.K. after stepping down as a senior royal, she returned for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee with her husband and kids. But, it might have something to do with "getting a bit of the Queen's stardust magic rubbing off on them" and for their Netflix project.

With that said, Dampier believed there was nothing in the Balmoral for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to still visit Queen Elizabeth.
