Fans are about to see the Fallen Crows' final flight in an upcoming "Haikyuu!!" movie. Instead of a fifth season, the series' end is about to come in a two-part finale film.
The fourth season ended in 2020, the same year creator Haruichi Furudate concluded the manga. After more than a year and a half, the anime's end is about to come in "Haikyu!!" movie, so what will happen?
TOHO Animation dropped a new trailer to tease the series' finale. Here, fans saw Hinata and Kageyama's journey from the start through the manga panels and anime scenes.
It revealed the time when Karasuno's Little Giants inspired Shoyo to play volleyball and be part of the group. The scene showed Shoyo and Tobio becoming opponents during a junior high match.
The clip took fans to the highs and lows of these two's lives, giving fans a glimpse of what they had become. As they won against Inarizaki, it took the viewers to the past when Karasuno and Nekoma had a practice match for the first time.
The previous arcs featured the fight between the rival teams, promising to finish off what they had started at the nationals. So when Karasuno successfully defeated Inarizaki, they made their way to compete with Nekoma.
Hence, Epic Dope noted that the upcoming "Haikyu!!" movie would see Nekoma's battle and the next. However, it remains to be seen how many matches Karasuno will fight in. The Trash Can Battle is about to ensue and Shoyo may finally ignite the fire inside Kenma.
The trailer also made fans hear the fan-favorite characters' voices again through their narration. Anime Corner added that the "Haikyu!!" movie would cover the Nekoma vs. Karasuno arc, so viewers have a lot to wait for.
There will also be a "Haikyu!! Week" event happening this month, beginning on August 19.
Meanwhile, for starters, the anime's first season started in 2014. The second season came in the fall of 2015, ending in the winter of 2016 with 25 episodes.
Season 3 began in the fall of 2016 with only 10 episodes, followed by the "Haikyu!! Rikus vs Kuu" OVA that served as its sequel. The fourth season was divided into two cours: the first dropped in the winter of 2020 and the second was released in the fall. However, there are no words yet on when "Haikyu!!" movie is coming out.
