Capcom is introducing a new feature called a "Character Creator" in the upcoming brawler "Street Fighter 6," and fans are loving it-perhaps a bit too much.

"Street Fighter 6" had a closed beta over the weekend and Capcom allowed participating players to try out the new character creator feature and design their own avatar for use in the game.

The feature allowed for deep customization and gave players the ability to adjust the way their avatar looks. Players would be able to customize avatar hair colors and hair placements, eyebrow and eyelash colors, eye colors, skin pigmentation, face details, and so on. Of course, players are also given freedom to adjust the avatar's body shape, height, abdomen, and so on.

Presets were also available for players who didn't know how to tinker with the sliders, or for those who simply didn't want to bother with the customization process. Fans had too much freedom in the character creator, however, and the results were "freaky," Eurogamer noted.

Funny Horrors

Capcom noted that the character creator is a "one-time process" for the closed beta, which meant players only had one chance at creating an avatar they like.

While Capcom's tweet featured a custom character that looked "normal" based on "Street Fighter" standards, fan-made avatars are nothing short of "horrors" that would make fans laugh.

For example, here's a character who has too much muscle his shoulders and chest area. While this guy looks like he could crush an enemy with just a few punches, his own punches won't reach them.

Conversely, there's another guy who looks like he can reach opponents from far away, but not because he has Dhalsim-like limbs. Rather, it's simply because his limbs are long enough.

And then here's a character who spent too much time exercising and building his body that his head looks very small in comparison to his overall physique. Scary.

Lastly, here's a fighter who might not be able to hurt anyone with his fists, but could probably crush any opponent with his kicks.

Of course these are fan-made creations and show nothing but pure creativity. If anything, Capcom's decision to include such a customization feature in "Street Fighter 6" would attract players likely for the chance to create something they believe represents them better than a standard character like Guile or Ryu would.

"Street Fighter 6" is coming next year for the PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
