After a long wait, Denji finally made his way to the small screen in the premiere of "Chainsaw Man." As the first episode only introduced the protagonist and his loyal dog, Pochita, "Chainsaw Man" Episode 2 would introduce more characters.
Fans finally saw the anime version of Tatsuki Fujimoto's brainchild and didn't disappoint. That said, all eyes are now on "Chainsaw Man" Episode 2.
Makima shows up at the end of the premiere episode, hinting at the major role she's about to play. By the looks of it, she's about to take things from there, and Denji will be under her care.
Makima will be using Denji in her devil-hunting jobs. As their adventure begins, Makima is set to enslave Denji.
Meanwhile, as the first episode adapted the whole of the manga's Chapter 1, the same could be said in "Chainsaw Man" Episode 2. New characters will be introduced, and there will be less chaos and more character development.
So, who are the coming characters? First off is Makima.
Fans already saw Makima in the premiere episode, but she's not yet formally introduced. She's a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter who's in charge of her own groups, Public Safety Tokyo Special Division 4 and Tokyo Special Division 5.
Denji will eventually be part of the first group, which Makima offered at the end of the first episode. Makima looks gentle, nice, and friendly, but she's a strong woman underneath and a strict one to her people.
Next is Aki Hayakawa. He's one of the series' main characters and a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter. He will work alongside Denji as a part of Makima's Tokyo Special Division 4 squad in "Chainsaw Man" Episode 2.
He's known for his stoic, mature, and blunt personality and can even be rude sometimes, especially with co-devil hunters. But beneath this attitude, he's a kind and loving soul who gets easily attached to others. He even hates to hurt others.
Lastly, fans are about to meet the Public Safety Group, a government organization that sanctions devil hunters from performing their work, which the Japanese government approves. It aims to eliminate all the devils, though there are key exceptions.
It's composed of a council of higher-ups who make decisions and give punishments. It poses itself as a well-run organization, though no one knows how it works.
"Chainsaw Man" Episode 2 will be out on Tuesday, October 18.
