Tom Brady's ex, Bridget Moynahan, shared a cryptic post about a breakup on Instagram amid the NFL icon and Gisele Bündchen's divorce rumors. As the couple reportedly hired their respective lawyers, does the actress' post refer to the two?
The quote comes from the marriage therapist Vienna Pharao, raising some eyebrows knowing Brady and Bündchen are on the brink of divorcing. So, what does it say?
The quote read that not everything is meant to be mended and that not all relationships would last for a lifetime. It then suggested learning to get comfortable with the gifts offered through the "ruptures and endings" instead of opting for "repair and reconciliation."
In her caption, the "Blue Bloods" star further delved into the breakup topic and how this heartbreak could turn into one of the "greatest gifts." She added that it was hard to face this issue, but some of the greatest offerings and lessons came from this.
"The relationship that doesn't work out but teaches you something important about yourself," she wrote. "The rupture that doesn't get mended but shows you something new about a pattern of yours."
This is the first time Moynahan shared something about relationships after Brady and Bündchen's divorce rumors began. The two share a 15-year-old son, Jack, and the footballer famously left her when she was pregnant and started dating the Brazilian model.
Meanwhile, things are reportedly getting nasty between the power couple as they allegedly prepare for their divorce. A source told Page Six that the Victoria's Secret Angel had hired the top divorce attorneys in Florida, like Tom Sasser, the law firm Sasser, Cestero & Roy's managing partner.
He has been known for handling some of the highest-profile clients, such as Tiger Woods, when he divorced Elin Nordegren in 2010. He also represented Jeff Brooke during his messy divorce from Brooke Sealey in 2003, which turned out to be a battle over the former's net worth that he had successfully settled.
The insider added that things had ended up being messy between Brady and Bündchen because of the lawyers they chose to hire. By the looks of it, they are both ready to fight.
The two may not be battling over their two kids, Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9, as they both want joint custody. However, it may take a while before they can divide their massive wealth and properties. Brady and Bündchen tied the knot in 2009 and have been together for 13 years.
