The first part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's much-controversial docuseries, "Harry & Meghan," has dropped, seemingly showing that the former actress and Kate Middleton's relationship is not friendly. Rumors have it that the two duchesses have a strained relationship, and so does the "Suits" star just prove it true?

In the first part of the six-episode docuseries, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave a glimpse of their first meeting with Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Sussex first met the Prince and Princess of Wales over dinner when she and the Duke of Sussex were still dating, and from there, she quickly saw what it was like to be a royal.

Royal expert Sarah Hewson analyzed the show's first three episodes, claiming the mother-of-two's relationship with the Duchess of Cornwall was portrayed in a "less than friendly" manner from the offset.

She told Times Radio, via Express, that the American star emphasized how formal the royal life was after describing her first meeting with the Cornwalls. In the second episode of "Harry & Meghan," she revealed she wore ripped jeans and even bared feet when they arrived at dinner.

And as someone who had always been a hugger, Meghan Markle didn't know it was "jarring" for a lot of Brits to do that. From there, she quickly understood that the royals' formality on the outside was carried through on the inside.

She admitted that she expected the royal etiquette to be left at the door once the work was done. So, she found it surprising that it was carried over on both sides.

Looking back at it now, she just found it funny as she had learned so much. "I'm so glad I didn't then because I could just authentically be myself without so much preparedness," she said.

Rumors about Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's feud began in 2018. The two allegedly had a fallout in the lead-up to the former's royal wedding with Prince Harry.

Sources claimed Meghan Markle left Kate Middleton in tears after fighting over the bridesmaids' tights. In an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Los Angeles-raised revealed that row was a "turning point" of her royal experience.

She stressed that the incident didn't happen, describing it as difficult and starting everything to change. Meghan Markle revealed the "reverse happened," and it was Kate Middleton who had upset her, but things were quickly resolved when the latter apologized.
