Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise once worked together for the 2014 sci-fi movie "Edge of Tomorrow." With the grueling work doing this film came, John Krasinki's wife said on the "SmartLess" podcast on Monday, December 12, that the "Mission Impossible" actor told him to "stop being a p---y," though in a positive way.

In an interview with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett on their podcast, Blunt revealed that she told Cruise her concerns about the movie's production. So, what was the actor's response? "Stop being such a p---y."

The two actors played soldiers fighting a war against aliens in the movie, along with Bill Paxton and Brendan Gleeson. With their roles, they had to wear heavy robotic suits that weighed about 85 pounds, per Entertainment Weekly.

"It was so heavy," she stressed. She wanted to cry the first time she put it on in front of the "Top Gun" star, who just stared at her, not knowing how to help her.

Blunt then told him that she didn't know how she would get through the shoot and eventually started sobbing. Admitting she was already panicking, Cruise eyed her for a long time and told her, "'Come on, stop being such a p---y, okay?'"

Looking back at it now, the "A Quiet Place" star just laughed it off and successfully got through the filming despite the intense training.

Meanwhile, a sequel to "Edge of Tomorrow" was announced in 2019, with Blunt and Cruise reprising their roles. However, there are no words yet on when the movie will be in the works, and there are even fears that it may not even materialize.

Why? "The Devil Wears Prada" star herself revealed the sequel had "too large a price tag" to make, Looper noted.

In a talk with Howard Stern last year, she said she didn't know how the film would be made after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.

Hollywood is reportedly trying to lower production costs with the rising cost of everything. Blunt stated doing the sequel is "too expensive," and they still need to figure out the next roadmap for making films that people want to see.

It's also good to note that Warner Bros. has seen its fair share of difficulties in recent years. So, there are doubts it can still make the "Edge of Tomorrow" sequel. In fact, it has already canceled several films on its to-do list, like "Batgirl."
