The previous episode saw Isagi make Naruhaya's weapon his own to score their team's fifth goal. They won the game and chose Barou to join their team. So, what would happen in "Blue Lock" Episode 16 this time?
Barou and Nagi are known to be two geniuses. Together with Isagi, they have reached the second selection's third stage.
In the next installment, they will face a new three-person team composed of Kunigami, Chigiri, and Reo. The three-versus-three fight will establish a match against each other.
As the second team may seek revenge, Isagi, Nagi, and Barou may add another member to their team in "Blue Lock" Episode 16. Will this help them win the fight?
The match between these two teams is expected to be "pretty heated and competitive" as Isagi continued the selection without Kunigami and Chigiri. It's probably because of their anger and ego.
Reo and Nagi may also face each other. There are also theories that Isagi will adopt some tricks from Kunigami and Chigiri as his ability evolves.
Meanwhile, "Blue Lock" Episode 15 saw Barou gain control and make a score, though Naruhaya's shot hit the post. Isagi then passed to Nagi and earned a score.
Barou tried to make score from the kickoff again, but Nagi blocked it while Isagi seized the ball. Naruhaya stole it and gave it to Barou to make a goal.
Isagi knew that Naruhaya had placed himself in the blind area, so he could approach Rin without being seen. Nagi made another score, resulting in a tie.
A flashback revealed Naruhaya's motivation to succeed in helping his family after his parents passed. Barou tried to shoot again from kickoff but was stopped.
Naruhaya attempted to shoot by imitating Isagi's kicking but missed the post. Isagi moved closer to the net after Nagi gained possession, while Barou followed.
Isagi mimicked Naruhaya's footwork as he raced to the goal as Barou changed targets. Nagi then passed the ball, and Isagi scored to win the game.
Isagi knew any team could win, but Naruhaya stressed he was a better player, even lamenting his missed shot. Isagi chose Barou to join his team as he acknowledged Naruhaya's assistance.
The latter ended up disqualified, so Kunigami and Chigiri asked Reo to join them after Bachira and Isagi left them. Reo then agreed to defeat Nagi after abandoning him.
"Blue Lock" Episode 16 will be out on Saturday, January 28.
