Fans expect "Boruto" Chapter 79 to answer all the questions the previous chapter left off. As many believe the time skip is about to occur, fans seemingly have an idea of what will happen next in the series.
Fans noticed that all the elements seen in the manga's very first chapter are ending. Hence, there are strong assumptions that the time skip is about to begin, and it may happen either in "Boruto" Chapter 79 or in the subsequent installments.
Sportskeeda noted the five twists fans may see in the next issue. It may reveal Kawaki's name in the bingo book as he plans to kill Boruto.
However, his plan fails after Sarada, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Mitsuki intervene. Kawaki gets Momoshiki's help, letting him escape, but from here, he may be considered a rogue, and people may start to look for him as he becomes a big threat to Boruto's life.
Boruto may also learn how to use his Jougan in "Boruto" Chapter 79 after it appeared in his right eye following Momoshiki's control when he opened his newly slashed right eye. He may train under Sasuke how to use Jougan without being controlled by Momoshiki, considering he already knows how to handle it during the series' start.
After Kawaki leaves Konoha, Eida and Daemon may follow. It has been known that Eida has feelings for Kawaki, and she only agrees to live in Konoha to be close to him. Now that Kawaki's gone, she and her brother may leave, too.
In addition, Boruto's vision in Chapter 75, where Shikadai, Chocho, and Inojin face someone and tell him, "friends didn't act like that." This someone may be Kawaki, and they may say this to him while Shikadai's team, Sarada, and Mitsuki try to find him after trying to kill Boruto.
Lastly, Code may attack Konoha in "Boruto" Chapter 79, knowing Naruto is not around. Code may have become more powerful after removing his limiter, so shinobis may find it hard to fight him.
Meanwhile, "Boruto" Chapter 78 saw Boruto fighting Kawaki after learning what he did to his parents. Kawaki trapped Naruto and Hinata in another dimension to fulfill his plan to kill Boruto.
Sarada came to help Boruto, but the latter just ended up saving her as Kawaki tried to kill her, too. From there, fans learned how he got his scar on the eye after he caught the slash that was supposed to be for Sarada.
The Konoha shinobis then came to their rescue. After catching Kawaki, Momoshiki took over Boruto's body and helped Kawaki escape.
"Boruto" Chapter 79 will drop on Monday, March 20.
