Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's rep confirmed they got invited to King Charles III's coronation on May 6 at Windsor Castle, though they seemed undecided if they would attend the event. Some experts point out the possible reason why they may not participate in the crowning, while others claim it may be their last chance to visit Frogmore Cottage.

Prince Harry and Meghan's spokesperson revealed that King Charles asked them to vacate their Frogmore Cottage. As this is said to be part of the monarch's plan to slim down the monarchy, it may also have something to do with the Duke of Sussex's revelations against the royal family. His Majesty reportedly decided to have them leave the royal property a day after the release of the memoir, "Spare."

CTV commentator Richard Berthelsen said the upcoming royal event might be the last time the Sussexes visit their home in the U.K. or stay there. The couple might get invited to stay at Buckingham Palace instead or at Windsor Castle, where there's a huge space to live.

However, the analyst couldn't deny that there were a lot of issues that they would have to make a decision based on their public image and everything that was happening if it would be to their advantage. But as the royal family had invited them, their presence would surely be welcome.

They might only be there to witness King Charles' crowning and have no participation in it. For starters, Prince Harry and Meghan's spokesman confirmed the latter received an email from the king's office about the coronation. But the royal couple is seemingly undecided yet if they would accept it.

That said, Express analyzed why they might not attend the event. With the recent Frogmore eviction, commentators believed it might have left them with "a sour taste in their mouths" that might incite them to turn the invitation down.

It's also good to note that Prince Harry's invitation comes from the palace and not from his father, meaning the latter didn't personally invite his son. Instead, the palace and his dad's aide contacted him through formal channels.

This seems to hint at the continuously poor relationship between the father and son, making the latter possibly feel offended by the move. Lastly, the tension between Prince Harry and the royal family remains high.

He reportedly has no communication with his brother, Prince William. Though King Charles is said to be willing to reconcile with his youngest child, his eldest son is allegedly more skeptical. The Prince of Wales' alleged friends claimed he doesn't want his younger brother to attend the coronation after being continuously targeted in his memoir.
