The late Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, recently shared his perspective on how Diana would have reacted to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's ongoing campaign against the royal family.

In a recent episode of "GB News," Burrell, a close confidante of Princess Diana, discussed with host Dan Wootton, the contention made by Tom Bower, a former BBC journalist. Bower had proposed that Markle was assuring Harry that Diana would have endorsed their actions against the monarchy, believing they were right.

In response, Burrell stated, "Dan have we got to an all-time low because I think this couple are just delusional and have lost the place." He contested the notion that Diana would approve of the Sussexes' public criticism of the royal family, stating, "If Meghan is receiving messages from Princess Diana, she must have a very bad reception because the princess would never ever support what Meghan and Harry are doing in trashing the royal family, especially William."

As someone privy to Diana's deep respect for the monarchy, Burrell suggested that she would have anticipated the same loyalty from her sons. He argued that the Sussexes' claim of Diana's support was a thinly-veiled effort to exploit her positive image for their own benefit.

Burrell claimed, "I think this is a crude attempt to use the good profile of Princess Diana to support the actions of the Sussexes and, indeed to promote their brand, which is failing." He sternly dismissed the idea that Diana would condone their actions from beyond the grave.

Burrell's views couldn't be independently corroborated by the Business Times.

Royal author Christopher Andersen echoed Burrell's sentiments. He pondered whether Prince Harry may have regrets over his decision to step away from the monarchy, missing key events like King Charles' inaugural Trooping the Color.

Andersen, in the "Royally Us" podcast, said, "He must feel that, on some level that this is not what his mother would want to see or would have wanted to see. His life becomes, you know, I think she wanted him to have a major part in the monarchy."

Royal biographer Angela Levin concurred, asserting that Diana was a strong supporter of the monarchy and encouraged her sons to uphold its traditions. She revealed, "She lived very near Sandringham, and she used to go and have tea with the Queen that the family did, and she went along, and she said to both her sons, 'You know, this is very important that we keep this going and what good manners I want you to like it. I want you to take part in it.' But Harry's been told not to by Meghan."
