Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, continues to express her discontent over the alleged mistreatment she experienced as a member of the British royal family. She reportedly believes that her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and brother-in-law, Prince William, have not been held accountable for their actions.
According to a source, Markle feels that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have "never been held accountable for the way they treated her when she was part of the royals, have never apologized and have seemingly got away with it." The source refers to an incident in 2018 when the Duchess of Cambridge allegedly made Markle cry days before her wedding to Prince Harry.
Markle was reportedly taken aback by the minimal criticism the Cambridge couple received over the incident. Following the release of Meghan and Harry's Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir, "Spare," which criticizes the royal family, Markle was "convinced" that public opinion would shift in her favor. However, this expectation has not been met.
Despite the ongoing feud, there are speculations that the Sussexes may consider moving back to the U.K. to mend their relationship with the royal family. A source suggested that they might reside in Kensington Palace to win over William and Kate. "Harry doesn't want to become a prisoner of the palace," the source said, adding that the couple aims to maintain a balanced life and safeguard their mental health.
However, royal expert Tom Bower contradicts these claims, stating that the couple has caused too much damage to the royal family to make a successful return. Bower believes that if Prince Harry does return, he could potentially cause further harm to the family. He also suggests that Meghan Markle would be opposed to the idea of returning to England and living in a "small, poky flat in Kensington Palace."
