BLACKPINK is set to commemorate their 7th debut anniversary by hosting surprise events, further strengthening their bond with fans.

On August 8, YG Entertainment posted a "Happy BLACKPINK 7th Anniversary" message on their official blog. A festive-themed typography poster, reminiscent of pink balloons, has captivated the hearts of BLINKs (the fandom name) worldwide.

According to YG, BLACKPINK has planned diverse events to meet fans' expectations and love. A 'BLINK Quiz' about BLACKPINK has already been released on the fan platform Weverse and is receiving positive responses. Fans are eagerly awaiting more exclusive content to be added soon.

Offline, the group is getting closer to their fans than ever. On their debut day, August 8th, in nine Asian countries including South Korea, Starbucks will offer a special 7th-anniversary sticker to anyone purchasing BLACKPINK-themed drinks and food. Moreover, a 7th-anniversary photo booth will be available at the Verdy pop-up in New York from September 9th to 11th.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK is illuminating 76 screens at the Secaucus Junction station in New Jersey with pink hues. On August 8th, major urban areas such as New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco will showcase a video retracing the group's 7-year journey, setting a nostalgic atmosphere for fans.

BLACKPINK expressed their gratitude, saying, "We're thankful for the undying support from our fans. We eagerly await the upcoming days with BLINKs. We've prepared enjoyable content, so please look forward to it."

Having debuted on August 8, 2016, BLACKPINK has been consistently delivering hit songs and solidifying their position as the world's top girl group. They've left a monumental footprint in K-pop history with achievements such as being the first K-pop girl group to achieve double million seller status, topping the Billboard 200, and being the first Asian artist to headline Coachella and Hyde Park.

Currently, BLACKPINK is conducting their largest-scale world tour for a K-pop girl group, 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]', with an audience of around 1.5 million. Starting in New Jersey on September 11th (local time), they will then move to Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, connecting with their American fans once more.
