The "Jamboree K-pop Concert", which has faced numerous challenges, is finally set to take place, drawing significant attention to its performer lineup.

On August 8, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree K-pop Super Live' (hereinafter referred to as 'Jamboree K-pop Super Live') will be held on the 11th at 7 p.m. at the Sangam Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Park Bo-gyun, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, expressed regret stating, "It's unfortunate that due to the unpredictable path of the typhoon, the concert's plans had to change," but reassured, "The concert on the 11th will allow the 40,000 scout participants to experience the allure of K-culture, uniting to bring an emotional finale to the Jamboree."

Originally, the Jamboree K-pop Concert was scheduled to be held at a special outdoor stage in Saemangeum on the 6th, but due to various safety concerns, it was shifted to the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 11th. However, decisions related to typhoon precautions and evacuating Jamboree participants to the capital region resulted in the concert's final relocation to the Sangam Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

With the change in venue, the concert's lineup also faced adjustments. According to KBS News on the 8th, confirmed acts include NewJeans, ITZY, NCT Dream, and MAMAMOO.

Meanwhile, rumors about BTS, two of whose members are currently serving in the military, being part of the concert lineup have stirred controversy. Parliament member Sung Il-jong stated, "This was an event that damaged our national pride. We need to compensate our esteemed guests for the shortcomings at Saemangeum with the power of Korean culture. I hope that BTS, despite their military status, will participate in the K-pop concert in Seoul on the 11th, taking all measures to elevate our nation's prestige." In response, the Ministry of Defense expressed that discussions with relevant departments and agencies were necessary. The BTS fandom, ARMY, has expressed outrage, accusing officials of abusing their authority.

With the continuous controversies surrounding the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree K-pop Super Live', all eyes are on whether the event on the 11th will conclude smoothly.
