BTS's Jungkook radiated candid charm in a recent interview.
Jungkook sat down for an interview and photoshoot with the UK's Dazed magazine. He shared that he's still contemplating who he truly is, stating, "I'm a person who's honest with my emotions. I change quickly and do what I want to do in the moment."
Over the past few years, Jungkook has taken up boxing, added piercings to his eyebrows and lips, and increased his tattoo count. Addressing these changes, he said, "I like things that are extreme. People always say I look soft and round, but I want an image that's sharp and intense."
This year, Jungkook has spent a lot of time with fans through live broadcasts on Weverse, unrestricted by location or time. From his living room, kitchen, and bedroom, he has sung songs, cooked, drank, and even did laundry. There was even an instance where he fell asleep during a broadcast, leading to an involuntary end.
While he gently declines when ARMYs (BTS's fandom) advise him to sleep early or not to drink too much, he said, "I don't take it to heart because I know they say it out of concern and affection for me."
Previously, Jungkook had warned fans who showed up at his gym or sent food deliveries to his home. He stated, "I tell them 'stop' in a firm yet polite manner. It's not a complicated relationship." He further added, "I can converse freely with fans, and they can speak freely to me. Whether I listen to or ignore fans' comments is my choice. Even if fans make inappropriate remarks, accepting or ignoring them is also my freedom and choice."
Having successfully debuted as a solo artist, Jungkook expressed, "I trusted my instincts. I wondered if I could reach out to the audience, to more people, and I think I've proven that I can."
He concluded by saying, "I want to become a better and more impressive singer. I'm still not the singer I wanted to be, the one I dreamt of, so I'm working harder."
