In a series of events that have left fans and followers concerned, pop icon Britney Spears recently posted videos of herself dancing with knives, prompting a welfare check by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. The videos, which were shared on her Instagram, showed Spears dancing around her kitchen holding what appeared to be sharp knives. While the singer later clarified that the knives were not real and were merely props for an upcoming Halloween celebration, the videos raised alarms among her vast fanbase.

According to sources, multiple individuals reached out to the authorities expressing their concerns for Spears' safety after viewing the videos. In response, deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department visited the singer's $7.4 million mansion, which she previously shared with her estranged husband, Sam Asghari. The purpose of the visit was to ensure Spears' safety and well-being. After speaking with the singer, the deputies determined that she was in no immediate danger and left the premises.

Spears, in her Instagram posts, tried to assuage fans' concerns by stating, "I started playing in the kitchen with knives today. Don't worry they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon." However, a subsequent video showed a mark on her leg and one of her wrists wrapped in a bandage, further fueling speculations and concerns. The utensils in the video also produced a clanking sound when struck together, contradicting her earlier statement about them being fake.

This isn't the first time Spears has been associated with knives. Earlier reports have suggested that the singer has developed a fascination with knives, even going so far as to sleep with one under her bed due to fears of being re-institutionalized. Such concerns stem from her 13-year conservatorship, which she has described as "abusive" in past courtroom testimonies.

Adding to the narrative, Britney's younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, in her tell-all book, claimed that Britney once locked them in a room together while holding a knife. However, Britney has vehemently denied these allegations.

The recent events come at a time when Spears is gearing up for the release of her memoir, "The Woman In Me," set to be available on October 24. The book is expected to shed light on various aspects of her life, including her tumultuous relationship with her family and her struggles under the conservatorship.
