Global pop sensation, Jungkook of BTS, is set to shake the world music scene once again with the release of his second solo single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)", on September 29 at 1 PM KST.
Having colored the summer with 'Seven (feat. Latto)', which was released last July, Jungkook achieved significant milestones as a solo artist. The track secured the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 'Hot 100', third on the UK's Official Singles Chart, and remained number one for eight consecutive weeks on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart.
Returning swiftly with a comeback in just about two months, Jungkook plans to engage with fans both domestically and internationally through various activities.
■ A Song that "Captivates from Start to Finish"... Jungkook's Matured '3D'
Ahead of the "3D" release on September 29, Jungkook shared insights about the song and his aspirations through Big Hit Music.
Describing "3D" as a song that "captivates from start to finish without a dull moment," Jungkook expressed his excitement, stating, "It was a very fun track when I first heard it." He confidently added, "I believe I can showcase a different charm from 'Seven'."
"3D" is an R&B pop track with a minimalistic instrumental arrangement, characterized by its compelling rhythm and catchy sound. The song, harmonizing perfectly with Jungkook's captivating vocals, conveys a message of wanting to meet the 'you' in the 3D realm and always wanting to be together.
Having previously reinterpreted the early 2000s two-step genre trendily with 'Seven', Jungkook aims to continue the legacy of dance solo artists in '3D', drawing from the mid-2000s hip-hop and dance with an old-school vibe.
Jungkook added, "'3D' is a track that showcases performance. I hope many will enjoy the repetitive choreography in short-form videos."
■ '3D' Completed with Epic Collaborations: BloodPop, David Stewart, and Jack Harlow
Top-tier musicians have come together for Jungkook's "3D".
BloodPop, known for producing tracks for international artists like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, and David Stewart, who participated in the composition and lyrics of BTS's "Dynamite", have elevated the song's quality through their production.
Billboard "Hot 100" top artist, rapper Jack Harlow, further amplifies the energy of the track. Not only did Harlow feature in the song, but he also made an appearance in the music video.
Introducing Harlow, Jungkook said, "He's an artist I've admired and liked for a long time. We had a lot of fun working together. Jack Harlow's voice complements '3D' very well," expressing that the collaboration added a sensual vibe to the song.
Lastly, Jungkook shared, "I received an overwhelming amount of love for 'Seven', which was a bit burdensome, but on the flip side, it gave me the courage to take on this new challenge. I want to continue working hard to present many more great songs in the future."
