BTS's Jungkook has set an unprecedented record on the Billboard Global Chart, shining as a global top star. On September 29, Jungkook's second solo single "3D" was released and subsequently secured the 1st position on both the "Global 200" and "Global (Excluding U.S.)" charts as of October 14.
Furthermore, his first solo single "Seven", released on July 14, ranked 3rd on the "Global 200" chart and 2nd on the "Global (Excluding U.S.)" chart.
Jungkook is the first solo artist in Billboard history to simultaneously clinch both the 1st and 2nd positions on the "Global (Excluding U.S.)" chart. He also set a record as the first Korean solo artist to have multiple songs rank 1st on the global chart.
"3D" also entered the Billboard main singles chart "Hot 100" at 5th position on October 14. Previously, "Seven" had achieved the 1st position on the "Hot 100", making Jungkook the only Korean solo artist to debut multiple songs in the "Top 5".
Only Jungkook and pop star Olivia Rodrigo have managed to place two consecutive singles within the top 10 of the 'Hot 100' in Billboard's 65-year history. "3D" also recorded 1st in 'Digital Song Sales', 1st in "Canadian Digital Song Sales", 12th in "Streaming Songs", 34th in "Pop Airplay", and 10th in "Canada Hot 100".
Starting with the solo track "My Time" from BTS's 2020 album, Jungkook has consistently made impressive records on Billboard with songs like the webtoon "7FATES: CHAKHO" OST "Stay Alive", collaboration with Charlie Puth "Left and Right", and this year's "Seven" and "3D", totaling 5 songs on the "Hot 100".
"Seven" maintained its position at 1st on the "Global (Excluding U.S.)" chart for nine consecutive weeks and on the "Global 200" chart for seven consecutive weeks. It holds the record for being the first and longest-running song by an Asian artist to simultaneously rank 1st on both "Global 200" and "Global (Excluding U.S.)" charts for seven weeks.
Together with "3D", "Seven" has proven the "Jungkook Phenomenon" by consistently ranking on the "Hot 100", "Global 200", and "Global (Excluding U.S.)" for 12 consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, Jungkook is set to release his first solo album "GOLDEN" worldwide at 1 PM on November 3 (KST).
