Jungkook from BTS has once again proven his prowess as a solo artist by dominating the US Billboard charts. According to the latest charts released by Billboard for October 21, Jungkook's solo single "3D," which was released on September 29, secured the top spot in the 'Digital Song Sales' chart.
The single "3D" has consistently shown its strength by maintaining the top position in the 'Digital Song Sales' chart for two consecutive weeks.
Even in the world's largest pop market, the US, "3D" clinched the number one spot for two weeks in a row. This achievement further emphasizes Jungkook's unparalleled popularity and presence as a top pick in the local music scene.
For the week of October 21st, "3D" also ranked 58th in the 'Hot 100' Billboard singles chart, 5th in 'Global 200' and 2nd in 'Global (Excluding the US)'. The previous week, the song ranked 5th in 'Hot 100', 1st in 'Global 200', and 1st in 'Global (Excluding the US)'.
Last year, Jungkook topped the 'Digital Song Sales' chart with "Dreamers," the official soundtrack for the '2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup'. He also achieved this with his collaboration song "Left and Right" with US singer-songwriter Charlie Puth. Including the two-week reign of "3D," this marks his fourth time topping this chart.
Since its release, "3D" has also set a record by topping the iTunes Top Songs charts in 108 countries/regions. It achieved the number one spot in the shortest time ever in the eight major music markets: the US, UK, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, and Germany.
On Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, "3D" topped the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart and surpassed 100 million streams in just 15 days.
Jungkook's first solo single "Seven," released on July 14th, debuted at number one on Billboard's 'Hot 100'. It also maintained its top position on the 'Global (Excluding the US)' chart for nine consecutive weeks and the 'Global 200' chart for seven consecutive weeks. It has been consistently popular, staying on these three charts for 13 consecutive weeks.
