BLACKPINK's Jisoo (real name Kim Ji-soo, 28) and actor Ahn Bo-Hyun (35) have ended their brief yet intense romance.

On October 24, a representative from Jisoo's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed to MyDaily, "It is true that they have broken up." A spokesperson from Ahn Bo-Hyun's agency, FN Entertainment, also shared, "It's true that Ahn Bo-Hyun and Jisoo have separated. We ask for understanding as the specific time and reason are personal matters."

The pair acknowledged their relationship last August and made it public. At that time, they often enjoyed 'home dates' at Jisoo's residence in Yongsan. Both shared common interests in acting, singing, and even fashion, and sources close to them mentioned that they had a mature and considerate relationship.

YG Entertainment, which usually refrains from commenting on dating rumors, exceptionally stated, "They are getting to know each other with good feelings," and asked for warm support for the couple. Consequently, Jisoo became the first BLACKPINK member to confirm dating rumors.

This official entertainment couple attracted immense attention. It was highlighted that Jisoo and Ahn Bo-Hyun attended the VIP preview of the movie 'Smuggling' at COEX Megabox in Seoul in July. Although they appeared separately, their attendance at the same event before confirming their relationship was noteworthy.

Media, including CNN in the U.S. and Kstyle in Japan, showed great interest. CNN reported that the agencies confirmed the relationship, a rare move away from the secrecy typically surrounding celebrity relationships in Korea. They mentioned that while announcements about K-pop idols' relationships are uncommon, the industry is slowly moving away from anti-dating contract clauses.

Japan's Kstyle also reported that BLACKPINK's Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo-Hyun acknowledged their love for each other, emphasizing their mutual interests and the caring nature of their relationship.

However, Jisoo and Ahn Bo-Hyun parted ways just two months after going public. The couple, who became lovers from colleagues, have now returned to being colleagues. While the specific reasons and timing of the breakup are not known, it's rumored that their busy schedules led to the separation.

As background, Jisoo was born on January 3, 1995, making her 29 years old in Korean age. She debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016, releasing numerous hits like 'Whistle', 'BOOMBAYAH', 'Playing with Fire', 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', 'As If It's Your Last', 'Forever Young', 'KILL THIS LOVE', 'How You Like That', and 'Pretty Savage'. In 2021, she showcased her acting skills in the drama 'Snowdrop' and is currently considering a role in the movie 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'.

Ahn Bo-Hyun was born on May 16, 1988, making him 36 years old in Korean age, with a 7-year age gap from Jisoo. He made his debut as a model in the 2007 Seoul Collection and began his acting career in 2014 with KBS 2TV's 'Golden Cross'. He has since appeared in tvN's 'The Greatest Love', 'Yumi's Cells' series, 'Military Prosecutor Doberman', 'Please Take Care of My Life This Time Too', KBS 2TV's 'Descendants of the Sun', web drama 'Dokgo Rewind', JTBC's 'Itaewon Class', and more. He is set to appear in the movie 'Yellow Sea: Sea of Death' releasing this December and also has the movie '2 PM Date' lined up.
