Artists from HYBE Labels including BTS members Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and NewJeans have made it to the list of nominees for this year's Billboard awards.

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) announced its list of nominees on the 26th. BBMA bases its nominations on album and digital song sales, radio broadcasts, streaming, tours, and social media engagements from the Billboard charts over the past 12 months. Notably, a new K-pop category was established this year, highlighting the growing global influence of K-pop.

Having secured a total of 12 trophies from the BBMA for six consecutive years since 2017, BTS is once again vying for awards as solo artists this year.

Suga has been nominated for 'Top K-Pop Touring Artist', while both Jungkook and Jimin have been nominated for the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' category for their tracks 'Seven' and 'Like Crazy', respectively, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Besides, Jimin has been nominated in four categories: 'Top Selling Song (Like Crazy)', 'Top K-Pop Album (FACE)', and 'Top Global K-Pop Artist'. Remarkably, this is the first time a K-pop solo artist has been nominated for the 'Top Selling Song' category. BTS previously won this award consecutively in 2021 and 2022 with 'Butter' and 'Dynamite'. Now, all eyes are on Jimin to see if he can continue the streak.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER and NewJins have been nominated for the BBMA for the first time, further solidifying the formidable line-up of HYBE Labels artists.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER has been nominated for 'Top Global K-Pop Artist' and for 'Top K-Pop Album' with their mini-album 'Chapter of Names: Temptation', which topped the Billboard 200 chart last February. The mini-album remained on the chart for 19 consecutive weeks, setting a new record for K-pop albums this year.

NewJeans achieved the feat of being nominated for the BBMA within a year of their debut, becoming the most nominated K-pop artist. They've been nominated in categories including 'Top Billboard Global (Excluding U.S.) Artist', 'Top Global K-Pop Artist', 'Top K-Pop Album (Get Up)', and 'Top K-Pop Song' for tracks 'Ditto' and 'OMG'. NewJeans entered the Hot 100 within six months of their debut and topped the Billboard 200 with their mini-album 'Get Up' last July, showcasing their rapid global influence.

The 2023 BBMA is set to be held on November 19th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
