BIGBANG's G-Dragon has firmly denied drug abuse allegations, and now, the full video clip that was suspected of showing signs of his drug use has been revealed. On the 31st, a netizen posted a video online titled "I found the original video of G-Dragon's neck turning incident."
The said video was the one many had shared on social media and online after G-Dragon's drug allegations came to light, referring to it as showing "Zombie-like G-Dragon" supposedly under the influence.
In the short version, G-Dragon seemed to twist his neck drastically as he entered a shop, appearing as if he might collapse. However, in the unedited long version, G-Dragon is seen greeting international fans normally before he enters the shop and simply stretches by turning his neck.
Based on the full version, it seems that G-Dragon was merely stretching, not showing any signs of drug intoxication. The netizen who posted the full video stated that G-Dragon has frequently been seen stretching in front of fans and reporters since 2013, so there shouldn't be an issue.
Fans responded, "Were we fooled by the edited video?", "G-Dragon always stretches a lot. If you're a fan, you'd know," and "Most of it was malicious editing." However, some also said, "Anyway, we'll see the results eventually."
Meanwhile, the police booked G-Dragon last month for violating the drug control law. The police started an investigation after receiving a tip that drugs were being circulated in a nightclub in Gangnam, Seoul, and during this process, suspicions regarding G-Dragon arose.
However, G-Dragon denied the allegations. Through his attorney Kim Soo-Hyun of K1 Chamber Law Firm on the 27th of last month, he stated, "First and foremost, I have not taken any drugs. Also, I am not associated with the recent news reports on the 'Violation of Drug Control Law'. However, knowing that many are concerned, I will actively cooperate with the investigation and approach it with utmost sincerity." He also plans to voluntarily appear before the police for questioning on the 6th.
