BTS V's self-composed song "Winter Bear" has been spotlighted by an overseas media outlet as a song perfect for the winter season.

On the 4th, the American media outlet POPSUGAR published an article featuring "15 Songs to Get You Ready for the Season," in which they included winter-related songs.

POPSUGAR selected V's "Winter Bear," stating that winter songs are like a warm blanket during the coldest time of the year, providing comfort. They mentioned that the song uses the image of a bear hibernating to describe a peaceful feeling.

"Winter Bear" showcases V's all-around artistry as he was involved in the lyrics, composition, production, and vocals, as well as directing and starring in the music video and taking part in every aspect of production, including the jacket photo.

The music video, which V wanted to share with fans during an overseas tour, captured the beautiful scenery from around the world along with V's natural appearance using cinematic techniques to offer freshness. The song, with its poetic lyrics and a classic, lyrical melody that reminds one of a film soundtrack, harmonizes perfectly with V's emotional vocals. At the time of its release, it drew praises from international media and experts.

Teen Vogue praised V's baritone voice as "so compelling" and listed "Winter Bear" as one of BTS's best moments in 2019. Elite Daily highly commended the song, saying, "V's unique and beautiful voice, sweet lyrics, artistic music video, melody, lyrics, visuals - everything is unbelievably beautiful." Consequence of Sound admired V's versatility, noting that he is talented enough to star in and direct music videos, in addition to composing songs.

Alongside "Winter Bear," other songs such as the 'Frozen' OST "Let It Go," Michael Bublé's "Winter Wonderland," Dean Martin's "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!", Ariana Grande's "Winter Things," Khalid's "Winter," Billie Holiday's "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," Taylor Swift's "Snow on the Beach," Simon & Garfunkel's "A Hazy Shade of Winter," and Norah Jones's "Wintertime" were also listed.
