BTS's Jungkook has won the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' award at the '2023 Billboard Music Awards.'

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) were held in a non-face-to-face format on November 20 (Korean time). Unlike traditional live broadcasts, this year's ceremony was pre-recorded and released later, with award winners' reactions introduced in brief clips after the presentation.

During the event, Jungkook secured the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' trophy with 'Seven,' featuring rapper Latto.

In this category, Jungkook's 'Seven' was nominated alongside Fifty Fifty's 'Cupid,' Jimin's 'Like Crazy,' and NewJeans' 'Ditto' and 'OMG.'

In the video, Latto personally expressed her gratitude, stating, "I'm so thankful to everyone, and especially to Jungkook." She also conveyed her appreciation to BTS's fandom, ARMY, adding warmth to the moment.

Jungkook shared his feelings, saying, "I am so honored to receive this award. It's hard to put into words how I feel." He continued, "Without ARMY, this song wouldn't have had the same meaning. I hope everyone enjoys this track, and I'm happy to share good music with everyone."

This year's ceremony featured 69 award categories, including Fifty Fifty nominated for 'Top Duo/Group,' NewJeans for 'Top Billboard Global Artist (Excl. U.S.),' and BTS member Jimin's 'Like Crazy' for 'Top Selling Song.'

Additionally, four new K-Pop categories were introduced this year: 'Top Global K-Pop Artist,' 'Top K-Pop Tour,' 'Top K-Pop Album,' and 'Top Global K-Pop Song,' garnering heightened anticipation.

The Billboard Music Awards are considered one of the three major U.S. music award ceremonies, alongside the American Music Awards and the Grammy Awards. This year's ceremony also featured performances by NewJeans and Stray Kids.
