BTS's Jungkook has set another record as a K-pop solo artist, shining with global popularity by becoming the first ever to have ten songs reach No. 1 on the US iTunes charts.
Jungkook recently released the '3D' remix in collaboration with global pop star Justin Timberlake on November 24th, and in less than 24 hours, demonstrated his strength by topping the US iTunes Top Songs chart.
Previously, Jungkook had topped the US iTunes Top Songs chart with his songs 'Standing Next To You', 'Standing Next To You Future Funk Remix', '3D', 'Seven', 'Still With You', 'Dreamers', 'Stay Alive', and collaboration tracks 'Left and Right', 'TOO MUCH'. The addition of the '3D' remix now brings his total to ten songs, dominating the US chart's top position.
This year alone, Jungkook ranked seven songs at No. 1 on the US iTunes Top Songs chart, proving his powerful impact, overwhelming popularity, and solid footing as a global pop star in the world's largest music market, the United States.
Jungkook has made an unprecedented and unique record as a K-pop solo artist on Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100', with 'Seven' at No. 1, '3D' at No. 5, and 'Standing Next To You' also within the top 5. His first solo album 'GOLDEN' set a record for the highest sales in the US for a K-pop solo artist's album in its first week, with over 200,000 copies sold.
'GOLDEN's title track 'Standing Next To You' also held the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks on the US 'Digital Song Sales' chart. Additionally, 'Seven' became the fastest K-pop song to reach No. 1 on the US iTunes Top Songs chart in just 1 hour and 6 minutes and debuted at No. 1 on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs USA' chart, a first for a K-pop artist.
Furthermore, as of the 17th, 'GOLDEN' has sold a total of 2,501,158 copies, making it the first solo album to sell over 2.5 million copies since the Hanter Chart in Korea revised its counting method in 2010.
