Former T-ARA member Ahreum (Lee Ahreum) has shared details about her current situation in a phone interview with Edaily on December 11 (KST), amidst public speculation.

Ahreum recently revealed through her social media that she is currently undergoing divorce proceedings and is also planning to remarry. She had previously married a businessman older than her in 2019 and has two children.

In her social media post, Ahreum mentioned, "(My ex-husband) is not granting the divorce, so we are legally still not separated." She added, "I have promised to marry my current partner as soon as the lawsuit ends."

During the interview, Ahreum stated, "It's a bit sensitive for me to talk about it right now." She continued, "I am still requesting my ex-husband to agree to the divorce."

The purpose of her interview was to ask for restraint in posting speculative malicious comments and defamatory content. She emphasized that she is taking legal action against those who leave such comments, planning to deal with them strictly without leniency.

Ahreum clarified, "There are speculations that I hurriedly posted on social media because I am pregnant with my current partner, but that is not true." She also wanted to make it clear that "meeting someone new is not the reason for the divorce. I had prepared for the divorce even before meeting this person."

Regarding her ex-husband, she said, "There were countless things that I cannot put into words," expressing her wish that both of them live their lives well. She briefly mentioned her partner-to-be as "a really precious person who helped me through tough times."

Lastly, she stated, "Since the divorce proceedings are not yet over, it's hard to share detailed stories. I want to thank everyone who has shown concern and support."

Born in 1994, Ahreum debuted in the entertainment industry in July 2012 as a new member of T-ARA and left the group in July the following year. She later appeared in KBS 2TV's 'The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project' in 2017, gaining attention. More recently, she was featured in JTBC's 'Sing Again Season 3 - Unknown Singers' as 'Singer No. 21' and made headlines. Last year, she appeared with her ex-husband on the Tving original reality show 'Between Marriage and Divorce'.
