The '2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon' was held live on December 25th at the Incheon Inspire Arena. The event was hosted by SHINee's Key, IVE's Ahn Yujin, and Tomorrow X Together's Yeonjun.

The lineup for the event included top K-pop acts like TVXQ, SHINee, NCT 127, NCT Dream, The Boyz, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, ITZY, Tomorrow X Together, aespa, ENHYPEN, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, among a total of 25 teams.

However, the 'SBS Gayo Daejeon' faced a string of unexpected issues even before the event began. Firstly, some of the admission tickets were discovered to be counterfeit, leading to chaos at the venue. According to information released by the audience present, scammers mass-produced and sold forged physical tickets. As the controversy escalated, SBS stated, "We have requested a police investigation and are currently assessing the exact scale of the damage." A significant number of victims are expected, adding to the disappointment.

Additionally, girl group aespa faced a dangerous situation as they were leaving the 'SBS Gayo Daejeon' red carpet. A video capturing the incident showed a man rushing towards aespa as they were exiting the photo wall. The members, who were waving goodbye to the fans, were startled when the man, holding a camera, jumped over the barricades meant to keep the fans at bay.

Fortunately, security personnel subdued the man, preventing direct harm to the aespa members. The members, including Winter, appeared visibly shaken by the sudden occurrence and looked back at the scene for a while before leaving.

More troubles followed for the 'SBS Gayo Daejeon.' NCT's Ten experienced a fall from the stage, sparking another controversy regarding safety. Videos shared by fans showed Ten falling into an open lift pit while transitioning between stages. This incident is reminiscent of Wendy's lift accident during a 2019 rehearsal, where she suffered fractures and was unable to perform for an extended period. Fans expressed their outrage as the similar accident occurred again after four years.

While SBS has yet to issue an official statement, Ten reassured fans by saying, "I'm okay. Don't worry. If it really hurts, I'll tell you right away^^ Again, merry Christmas love^^," addressing their concerns.

In addition to these incidents, the 'SBS Gayo Daejeon' was mired in controversies ranging from sound malfunctions, video screen errors, and camera mishaps.
