Jennifer Lopez is flipping out over Ben Affleck's longtime crush, Sofia Vergara, and the"Let's Get Loud" singer is said to be giving the "Modern Family" star the cold shoulder.
Sofia has prowled the dating scene after she ditched "Magic Mike" star Joe Manganiello in September following seven years of marriage. The curvy cougar also appeared in Jennifer's latest movie titled "This is Me...Now."
An unnamed source told National Enquirer that Jennifer is fed up with Ben drooling over her beautiful friend and the "On the Floor" hitmaker is allegedly calling out his hotheaded husband for her trust issues.
"Jennifer is close to Sofia - but that doesn't mean she wants her husband getting all googly-eyed for her," the tipster claimed. It added that Ben is notorious for Sofia and considers the former sitcom siren the ideal woman.
Ben has even shared a friendly moment with Sofia at the 2013 Golden Globes. However, an insider said that the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" songstress fumes over the long-ago encounter, which happened when Jennifer was still married to Latin Grammy winner Marc Anthony and Ben was hitched to his former wife, Jennifer Garner.
Informants claimed Ben keeps making things worse by begging Jennifer to have a get-together with the "Machete Kills" alum, who's been sighted on dates with orthropedic surgeon Justin Saliman. The source claimed that the "Papi" singer is putting her foot down and saying no way.
While there is no evidence to prove that Ben has tried to hook up with Sofia, the insider claimed the "Gigli" star's appreciation for the "total smoke show" has "triggered" Jennifer's "insecurities," especially because their first romance hit the rock bottom in 2003 over the reckless actor's rumored infidelity.
