The recent crackdown on immigration that President Joe Biden implemented has been criticized by Donald Trump, who has stated that the measure is insufficient in tackling the situation at the border and has predicted that it will "make the invasion worse.”

An executive order that temporarily tightened restrictions between two points of entry was signed by Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday, in response to rising pressure regarding the flood of migrants at the southern border.

There will be a suspension of asylum requests once the average daily barrier of 2,500 encounters for the week has been reached. This is a milestone that a senior administration official stated had already been met on Tuesday, which means that the decision will go into force immediately.

“The border is not a political issue to be weaponized," the president said in a speech at the White House as he announced the executive order.

In a call with reporters, senior administration officials stated that "individuals who cross the southern border unlawfully or without authorization will generally be ineligible for asylum, unless they are accepted by the proclamation." This is the case unless the proclamation allows them to be granted asylum.

Donald expressed his skepticism over the effectiveness of the order, and he chastised the president for not taking a stand that was sufficiently tough on the subject. A video consisting of a diatribe about "Crooked Joe Biden" was uploaded to the alternative social media platform Truth Social by the anticipated presidential candidate for the Republican Party in 2024. In the video, he claimed that Biden "has totally surrendered our Southern Border."

"The truth is that Joe Biden’s executive order won’t stop the invasion," the ex-president continued, calling the move "weak" and "pathetic," arguing that "it will actually make the invasion worse."

"Millions of people a year will continue to pour across our border and be released into our country," Donald claimed, adding that when he was president, "we built over 500 miles of border wall, stopped the flood of criminals, and we had the safest border in the history of our country."

"We need to secure our border once and for all," the ex-POTUS added, making a commitment that this would be his "top priority" if he were to be elected in November.

"On day one, I will seal the border, stop the invasion, and send Joe Biden’s illegal aliens back home. They have to be sent back home because no country can sustain the damage that our country is sustaining,” Donald stated.

The husband of Melania Trump continued by stating that "criminals" were being brought into the United States of America, saying, "They’re taking their drug dealers and their people in jail, lots of people in jail. They’re taking their murderers, killers, they’re taking them all and sending them into the United States."

Another item that Donald brought up was the upcoming discussion that would take place amongst the political contenders who are competing for the presidency. He made the statement that "it's all about Joe because he knows we have a debate coming up in three weeks."

An agreement has been made amongst the candidates for president, who have not yet been officially identified as the candidates for each of their different parties, to fight against one another in the very first presidential debate, which is scheduled to take place on June 27.
