Travis Kelce was worried sick back in the United States, counting the days until Taylor Swift was away from any potential danger. The “All Too Well” hitmaker has been at the focus of all kinds of tension while she is on tour, with a terror plot in Vienna being the most recent tribulation.
“It’s been so horrible, he hated having to sit back and do nothing but wait. He wanted to rush to her side to protect her but obviously he couldn’t do that. Anyway, she had plenty of bodyguards to keep her safe, but still, it left him feeling pretty helpless,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine.
There were a few concerning situations that occurred while Taylor, who is 34 years old, was on the road with her “Eras” tour, despite the fact that she had a really successful year. Immediately following the confirmation by government officials that the concerts in Vienna, Austria were the target of "planned terrorist attacks," the musician known for her song "You Belong With Me" decided to cancel her performances there.
The Grammy-winning performer was scheduled to perform at Ernst Happel Stadium on August 8, 9, and 10; however, the performance was canceled.
The attack that took place on July 29 during a Swift-themed yoga and dancing class in Southport, England, resulted in the deaths of three young girls between the ages of six and nine. This occurred prior to the threat of other terrorist attacks. There were over a dozen additional children and adults who sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
As a result of the terrifying events, Taylor and Travis, who are both 34 years old, became "aware of how quickly things can change and reminded them how precious life is."
“Money isn’t everything and Travis is proud of Taylor for doing the right thing and canceling her shows. Putting her life and the lives of her fans at risk simply isn’t worth it, no matter how disappointing it is for people or how much money it cost her,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
The undisclosed informant said that Taylor is "still broken up" about the horrible events that occurred and that she "wants to really throw herself into helping these poor victims of the [Southport] disaster."
“It wasn’t an event sanctioned by her, but still, her name was attached and it’s just heartbreaking. Travis is advising her to make her own safety a top priority and wants her get even more security. He can’t do much else, aside from pray that she’ll be OK,” the tipster concluded.
One day after the tragic stabbing, Taylor made a public statement in which she expressed her sympathy to the innocent young people who had been stabbed. “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock. The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families,” the “Blank Space” songstress wrote via on her Instagram Story, as per Deadline.
After the stabbing, Taylor proceeded to make an effort to make up for the situation by asking two young girls who were affected by the incident to attend one of her performances at Wembley Stadium in London. She even took photographs with the children backstage before the show.
